King Abdulaziz Park – Landform & Infrastructure Modelling, Riyadh
Civil 3D & BIM-based digital modelling for the construction of King Abdulaziz Park as part of the Green Riyadh Program. Services included landform grading & slope modelling, subsurface drainage and geocomposite layer modelling, utility coordination (stormwater, irrigation, electrical), and cross-sections, profiles & shop drawings for contractor execution.

The Challenge
The Green Riyadh initiative required transforming a large desert site into a resilient and sustainable public park. The landform involved complex grading, multi-level slopes, and underground drainage layers that had to be coordinated with utilities and landscape elements. Precision in digital modelling was essential to ensure both constructability and long-term performance of the park's infrastructure.

Our Approach
Our infrastructure team delivered a fully integrated Civil 3D and BIM model that combined grading, utilities, and landform details into a coordinated digital package. Each slope, geotextile layer, and drainage channel was modelled with accuracy to allow clash-free integration with irrigation and hardscape works. By producing precise cross-sections and shop drawings, we enabled the contractor to build directly from the model with minimal rework. This digital approach ensured efficiency in earthworks, optimized material usage, and provided the client with a transparent, buildable solution aligned with the sustainability goals of Green Riyadh.
